Our History

Foresight started its journey in the year 2000 with a vision to empower specially the youth & rural people. Immediately after its formation, it acquired a brand in the filed of computer training and re-structured the same to suit the concept of Social Entrepreneurship. This was done to ensure an economical computer education to the youth living in urban & semi urban areas and belonging to limited income groups. The objective was to empower the youth with employable skills to suit the demands of IT & ITES industries. This was done at a time when industry was feeling the heat of non availability of skilled man power and on the other side the youth was facing the problem of unemployment. The model was evolved to bridge this gap. The other objective of the model was to encourage the young professionals to become entrepreneurs by joining hands with the organization in the field of IT training. Having started with 5 training centers in Delhi in the year 2000, the organization at present has more than 100 training centers and more than 75 new young entrepreneurs catering the demands of more than 40,000 youth for IT training every year.

The other milestone of the organization came in the year 2003, when Nav-Prabhanam (A Rural Development Initiative) was launched in a small block headquarter of Dist. Sonepat, Haryana, based on the concept of PURA, (Providing Urban Amenities in Rural Areas). The project since then is serving the objectives of empowering the Rural Youth, Rural Women & farmers along with capacity building of village panchayats of the block. At present the project is operative in two blocks of Sonepat district and providing the knowledge, electronic and economic connectivities to the villages of both the blocks.

The third important issue taken up by the organization in the year 2003 through an initiative under the banner of Foresight Forum was to ignite the minds of country men on different issues of national importance so that India can be transformed as an enlightened society.
